The air is crisp and the leaves are giving us all the feels with their changing colours. Instagram is filled with pumpkin spice lattes, apple picking photos, and pumpkin patch dreams. October is finally here and we're welcoming all ideas of haunted houses, hay rides, and - of course - crafting, with open arms!
- A mixed bouquet of flowers - $5 at our local grocery store
Time Required: 10 minutes
This week we made a cute little DIY Pumpkin Vase for our office. The entire project cost us $7 and lifted our spirits immensely so we had to share! Follow the steps below and have fun with this project. These turn out pretty in photos. If you share yours on Instagram or Facebook, don't forget to tag us. We're @ShopParcelly. Double-tap from us - guaranteed! ☺
Start by washing your pumpkin to get rid of any dirt.
Cut out a hole at the top of your pumpkin where the stem is. Just like when you're carving a jack-o-lantern.
Scoop out all the pumpkin gunk and seeds from inside the pumpkin. The goal is to have a hollow pumpkin.
Insert a water vessel (a plastic cup will do) into the pumpkin. Fill it with water.
Decide whether you want your bouquet to sit low or high and cut your flowers accordingly. We did both to give you an idea!
You're done! The possibilities with this type of floral arrangement are endless. Spray paint your pumpkin, cover it in glitter, buy a different bouquet of flowers, etc. We can't wait to see what you create.
