- Canvas Shoes ($8)
- 2 Fun Embroidered Patches ($5 each)

Time Required: 5 Minutes

I am constantly getting teased about my obsession with tacos. So much so that my birthday card this year was taco shaped on tortilla-style paper (thank you, friends!). If being addicted to this Mexican delicacy is wrong, I never want to be right.

White Canvas Shoes

On a recent trip to the craft store, I spotted something totally magical. Once I laid my eyes on it, I knew I had to have it. "Sew it, stick it, do something with it!" its packaging challenged me. And do something with it I did. To say that I'm obsessed with the final result would be an understatement. Bonus: the whole project took me five minutes to complete! Double bonus: no glitter or mess!

I picked up some white canvas shoes at the craft store and decided to give the people something to taco 'bout. I peeled the adhesive strip off the embroidered taco patches and stuck one onto each shoe, pressing firmly to ensure a permanent stick. That's it! I spent more time texting photos of my new shoes to my friends than I did making them. I think that deserves some kind of DIY Trophy🏆!?

Adhesive Taco Patch

I am a firm believer that one can never have too many shoes to compliment a closet full of summery outfits. Catch me wearing these guys every Taco Tuesday! You'll also see them on Parcelly's Instagram, because the camera loves them!

DIY Taco Shoe Process

I invite you to design your own quirky summer shoes. The options are endless! Hit up your local craft store, find a couple embroidered patches that speak to your soul and get crafting!
